sexual group of humanity than it has to do with the remaining heterosexual group. All the undesirable traits are to be found just as much in one group as in the other, as are all the virtues of man to be found in both groups. Yet homosexuals are persecuted and most certainly discriminated against merely for existing not just because of something they may have done. A homosexual individual in many cases does not in fact (even if theoretically) have even the police protection enjoyed by other minority groups.

A start has been made in the field of public education in the subject of homosexuality in the U.S.A., notably by two groups or organizations: (1) The ONE Institute of Homophile Studies, 232 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, California (the Customs Department should know about this through their censorship operations), and (2) the Mattachine Society, Inc., 693 Mission Street, San Francisco 5, California.

Surely, Mr. Fulton, as a Christian you can see how unfair the practice and law now is as it stands. I hope you may be able to use your influence for truth, honesty, and justice, unbiased, in such a way that we may have true justice at least on our books of law.

I write to you because I have great admiration for you in your difficult and most responsible Office as Minister of Justice, and I have much confidence in your sincerity to do all you can for the principle of true justice in Canada. I do not ask that homosexuals should be favored, but only that they receive the same treatment as anyone else.

Most sincerely yours, Michael
